Can't Be Fixed

“Lots of things can be fixed.
Things can be fixed.

But many times, relationships
between people cannot be fixed,
because they should not be fixed.

You're aboard a ship setting sail,
and the other person has joined the inland circus,
or is boarding a different ship,
and you just can't be with each other anymore.

Because you shouldn't be.”

― C. JoyBell C.

Sometimes it's that simple.
Some things in life are not meant to be fixed and I'm learning to be okay with that.

Progress.

  1. This post speaks to me. Sometimes, we need to decide, but often, we don't need to. Life is hard, but it does not have to be "struggle". If we start to feel "struggling", there is something that needs to be looked at the situation. Recovery teaches us to sit in an uncomfortable situation, and believe that we will be ok. xoxo

    1. You're absolutely right. And I'm glad you could relate to this. I wasn't sure if anyone except me would be able to ha, but sometimes we do need to struggle a little bit in order to move forward. :)

  2. However time heals most wounds and often times forgiveness is the key to progress. Giving it and receiving it in return is one of the best ways to generate positive energy.

While people do not need to be in your life, there is no risk to reaching out to them to let them know how they impacted you and wish them well with whatever they have chosen to pursue.

    1. I agree with you. Time and forgiveness are a huge part of the healing process and I sometimes get impatient and forget that. Thank you for your continued support. <3
